ZA8606 is an active PFC non-isolated step-down LED driver controller launched by Zentel Electronics, a subsidiary of Powerchip Group. It operates at a fixed 45KHz switching frequency with an internal high-precision 200mV current reference. Average current feedback loop achieves ±1% constant current accuracy. Minimal peripheral components greatly reduce BOM cost of LED power supplies. Supports full universal AC input (90~264Vac), integrates multi-circuit hardware protection, and features a DIM pin for 0~3V linear dimming. Product Description: ZA8606 adopts compact SOT23-6 SMD package. Integrated frequency dithering and soft-drive circuit to suppress EMI noise. Internal 13.5V gate clamp circuit on GATE pin prevents external MOSFET overvoltage damage. The DIM pin supports 3 working voltage ranges for shutdown protection, linear dimming and normal constant-current mode respectively. Only one compensation capacitor is required for the loop. LED current calculation formula: Iled = 0.2V / Rsense. Batch current fluctuation controlled within ±3%. Auto voltage clamping when LED output open-circuit. Compatible with 12~24 series LED boards. Standard wire-wound inductors are applicable without costly E-core inductors, bringing obvious cost advantage for mass production.
